The sims 3 steam sale

I have purchased almost all the sims 3 expansion packs and made it a mission to buy all of them. But since I am a student I need to prioritize my money towards schooling only.

I would love for the sims 3 expansion packs to go on sale so that all the sim community can enjoy the wonderful gameplay in full effect. Go to Solution. Once you buy the game, you login to Steam, go to your library, click on the Sims 3 entry, then the cog wheel in the red box, below , then Manage, then CD Keys. You'll see a character code for each pack you've bought, and another one for the base game, if you ever want to register your second copy.

To register the codes, open your Origin game library, click Add a Game in the upper right corner, then input each code.

Alternately, you can register the codes on the old Sims 3 store site store. Just make sure you're using the same account that has your Origin games. You'll be able to tell because your existing packs will show in the left panel on your own page. In either case, the packs should appear in your Origin game library; if they don't, clear Origin's cache and look again. Please keep in mind that you can only access the Steam codes from a computer running Windows. You don't have to have the game installed, just sign in and grab them.

By the way, I don't know what packs you already own, but there are occasionally bundles that bring the cost down even further. If Steam itself doesn't show you the bundles, a google search "Sims 3 bundle Steam" or similar will turn up the direct links.

View in thread. Yeah, I understand your point of view. I have been using Origin to get all my games but unfortunately, Sims 3 is rarely on sale and just wanted to know when they will be on sale for sim players to have fun and enjoy all expansion packs without having to pay full price for a game that's been out for a while.

Steam provides codes for you to register in Origin just as if you'd bought a disc copy somewhere else. It sounded like you did work for ea. Thanks so much this helped a lot!!! So you think my next move should be make a stream account and buy it off there? Where do I get the codes?

I'm new to Steam, but I get my games from all over the place. My suggestion to you is to not depend on Steam because EA probably doesn't want to compete with Steam for game prices. I just went to the UK Amazon. All you need is the registration code, but a disk is fine.

However Steam doesn't have a legal right to register games on their server because they are EA games. But first things first. Try to register your base game at Origin, and once that is done, you can take advantage of disk or registration code sales anywhere. So if you buy disks or registration codes from Amazon or discount brick stores in your area the disks in the dept or computer stores are sometimes difficult to sell and you can get them huge discounts, in fact resellers often buy out old unsold disks and sell them for a steal -.

After you register the base game with Origin or EA it should be transferrable , then add all your new games to Origin and you have more freedom to buy disks or reg codes anywhere, and use them on Origin.

I got the games for 3 USD per disk at the time. When registering the game it was no problem, just besure that the disk has international language support, and you can install it in UK English or just install it from UK Origin.

I'm not in UK but looking at their websites, it looks like a 'can do'. Last edited by Vectorgraph ; 31 Dec, pm. Jcyrus View Profile View Posts. Originally posted by cruinne :.

Did EA honestly think Origin can compete with steam? Last edited by ErdoGaming ; 31 Dec, pm. Originally posted by Matchstick :.
